Head of Product - AI Shared Services

The role / impact Xero is building the shared platform services that will sit underneath some of our most important product and technology bets. As the Head of Product for AI Shared Services, you will lead the strategy and execution of platform areas such as Eventing, Communications, and Search among others, shaping the next generation of products and standards that teams across Xero rely on. This is a chance to turn fragmented tools and experiments into coherent, reusable capabilities, so Xeros spend less time rebuilding foundations and more time delivering value to Xero’s customers. It is a high impact, high visibility role, with plenty of scope to learn, shape, and grow. The team / how they connect This team looks after the platform foundations that power AI capabilities across Xero, working closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Data and Operations. The team partners closely with product areas across the business. The team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on - Setting the strategy for the AI Shared Services domain, alongside a roadmap for the quarters ahead - Establishing the key metrics and dashboards that will help the business track progress and success - Building relationships with stakeholders across the business - Growing adoption of shared AI capabilities across multiple product and engineering teams over time Where and how you can work We support a flexible working model that empowers you to balance your professional and personal life. Here are some of the things we are looking for - You bring strong product leadership across platform products, infrastructure, developer experience or enterprise services - Managing a portfolio of interdependent products - Technical fluency across distributed systems, eventing, communication and data platforms and cloud environments comes naturally to you - Strong commercial judgement helps you build the case for investment in shared capabilities - Leading through ambiguity, competing priorities and dependency complexity is something you handle with a level head - You have a track record of growing people and teams, and helping them see how their work connects to the bigger picture This role calls for someone ready to go bold on a space that is moving fast, breaking down ambiguity into tangible goals, and going further and together with teams across the business to build something that lasts.
