While data architecture depth remains important, this role is especially suited to someone who can build trust on the ground, drive technical progress within complex customer environments, and help uncover new opportunities over time. You will also serve as a technical customer advocate internally at Snowflake, ensuring that your customer’s needs drive our product roadmap and innovation. As a Snowflake Solution Engineer you must excel at translating complex technical concepts into compelling business value propositions that resonate with our customers. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO: - Partner with account executives and cross-functional teams to drive the technical win across the sales cycle - Present Snowflake’s vision, platform, and value to technical and executive audiences - Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate the value of Snowflake through discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements - Guide customers on modern data architecture, solution design, and implementation considerations across analytics, data engineering, AI/ML, performance, and governance - Translate customer business challenges into practical solution patterns that drive adoption and long-term value - Develop trusted relationships with architects, engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders within strategic enterprise accounts - Maintain an understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake effectively in relation to them - Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products, messaging, and field effectiveness - Help customers stay current on Snowflake product innovation, roadmap developments, and emerging use cases - Represent Snowflake at customer meetings, executive briefings, workshops, and industry events ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: - 6+ years of experience in a customer-facing solutions engineering, sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical pre-sales role - Strong competency across modern data stacks, including ETL/ELT, data warehouses, data lakes, analytics, and cloud-native data platforms - Experience working with enterprise customers in complex technical and stakeholder environments - Strong hands-on technical capability, including SQL and Python - The ability to connect a customer’s technical and business challenges to a practical Snowflake solution - Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences - Confidence facilitating whiteboarding sessions, technical workshops, and solution discussions - A pragmatic, collaborative approach and willingness to be hands-on in driving customer success - Strong relationship-building capability, professional presence, and the ability to simplify technical concepts into structured business narratives - A sense of agency, with a self-starter mindset to proactively seek out and drive opportunities forward WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE: - You quickly establish credibility with technical teams and key stakeholders across the account - You bring a practical, execution-oriented style that helps move opportunities forward - You translate Snowflake capabilities into clear business and technical value - You create technical champions and trusted relationships within your customer environment - You contribute to both immediate deal progression and the long-term growth of the account ABOUT OUR TEAM: Our Solution Engineers are customer obsessed and serve as the bridge between our most strategic customers and our internal product organization.
